KEELING, Charles Edward - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Funeral services were held at the Crumley funeral Home Monday, Nov 11 at 2 p.m. for Charles E. Keeling, age 89, a Hillsboro retired farmer who died Friday Nov. 8 at the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington. Mr. Keeling had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Louise Livengood at Kingman. He suffered a broken hip on Oct. 8 and until a week ago had been a patient at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Keeling was born Aug 15, 1874, near Hillsboro, the son of James and Caroline Grimes Keeling. He married Lucretia Starnes on July 31, 1904 and she died Oct 12, 1959. He was a member of the Prairie Chapel Church. Surviving are a daughter; a son, Russell of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The Rev. Thomas Linton officiated. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

He was a ret. farmer and a memer of the Prairie Chapel Church near here. Surv are the dau, a son, Russell of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Lillie Crowder of Wayentown 4 grandch and 4 great grandch. Fun serv. was held at the Crumley Fun Home, Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Thomas lInton of Lebanon offic. Pall bearers: Leroy Keeling; James Keeling; Gordon Crowder; Robert Crowder; Dale Groves and Lawrence Kelsey. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Organ music was by Lucy Crumley
